Summary:
Must be able to perform physical requirements of loading and unloading equipment and supplies.
Coordinates and provides for the delivery and/or pick up of supplies and equipment to patients/clients, ensuring that supplies and equipment are in good order and compliant with safety expectations.
Acts as an On-Call patient/client resource after routine hours based upon department rotation.
Performs basic in home safety assessment and ensures that patients/clients are knowledgeable about product safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
Ability to effectively communicate, prioritize work using fundamental time management, handle multiple tasks and projects dealing with complex patient/family dynamics and work in and support a team environment.
Associate can deliver care/service appropriate to patients/customers.
Loads equipment from warehouse on to delivery vehicle, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are clean, free of dust and in good working condition.
Secures all equipment for transport.
Picks up equipment from patients/clients, loads equipment following infection control and safety guidelines, delivering and unloading to designated area.
Instructs patients/clients on the basic use of the equipment.
Leaves written instruction as well as product literature with the patients/clients.
Informs patients/clients regarding hours of operation, on-call hours and contact information.
Reviews patient/client rights and responsibilities.
Performs basic safety assessment and ensures that patients/clients are knowledgeable about product safety.
Obtains patient/client signature on necessary documents.
Maintains company vehicle and assures vehicle safety.
Performs daily vehicle safety checks, keeping interior clean and free of debris, and maintains an organized vehicle inventory.
Assesses equipment repairs and provides on-site repair when possible.
Participates in inventory control utilizing point of sale and Home Medical Equipment software.
Must be able to perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment and follow department procedure.
Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTSLICENSURE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver's LicenseADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years' experience in medical equipment maintenance preferred.
Mandatory Continuing Education:
Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Corporate Compliance (including Confidentiality), Infection Control, and education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and/or Hancock Regional Hospital.
