Summary:
To maintain a properly controlled facility; provide the medical staff, nursing services, support staff, patient and public with a physical environment that is visibly and bacteriologically clean; work with all departments for necessary repairs and physical assistance; keep all equipment in operating order.
Coordinate and supervise work assignments and activities of the Maintenance department.
Schedule maintenance, construction and repair activities in conjunction with the Construction Manager and Director of Building Services.
Provide support and guidance for maintenance activities as necessary.
Assist in the management and performance of capital projects, works closely with the Construction Manager for the smooth transition of capital projects to maintenance team.
Always conscious of maintenance costs and budgets.
Responsible for all campus facilities and all hospital owned off-site facilities.
Qualifications:

Ability to establish working priorities for maintenance associates and themselves.
Able to read and understand blueprints and specifications of new construction projects, renovations, and maintenance equipment.
Must be familiar with computerized maintenance monitoring systems and can direct associates to use effectively in a paperless environment.
Can manage supplies, tools and materials needed for the performance of assigned maintenance work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
Identifies capital projects required to maintain plant equipment and facility.
Coordinating, guiding, checking, inspecting, monitoring activities associated with building maintenance.
Provide orientation and training of new associates.
Advise executive Administration and department Directors regarding modification, renovations and maintenance activities to ensure hospital needs are met and facilities exist that are functional, effective, and safe.
Interprets policies and procedures.
Provide guidance, counsel and technical assistance to trades personnel.
Resolve problems and grievances.
Promote good associate relations and inter-departmental cooperation.
Encourage professional growth of associates.
Receive, review and prioritize work orders and PMs.
Coordinate new work orders and establish work assignments.
Manage supplies/tools/materials needed for the performance of assigned work.
Prepare work schedules for associates in accordance with hospital requirements.
Complete proper logs, filing, and records for each job Keep all equipment in operating order.
Investigate delays and ensure timely completion of projects.
Report all emergency situations to the Director of Building Services.
Must be familiar with computerized maintenance monitoring systems and able to direct associates to use effectively in a paperless environment.
Coordinate and supervise work assignments and activities of the Maintenance department.
Schedule maintenance and repair activities in conjunction with the Director of Building Services.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
