The Unison Business Support Specialists will perform the following roles for their respective Elanco Business Units:
1. Communication management - Provide and promote clear communications within the unit
2. Schedule management - Coordinate and arrange logistical support
3. Office management - Maintain efficient workflow
The Business Support Specialists have the following responsibilities within each of the three roles:
Communication Management
o Creating and maintaining a unit calendar for internal and external meetings and
events
o Creating, editing and proofreading documents, letters, presentations and correspondence
o Preparing meeting logistics, agendas and materials
o Maintaining information repositories (website, databases, collaboration sites) with agreed reports and information
o Developing and maintaining databases and spreadsheets for activity tracking as required
o Coordinating communications and activities with Unison Event Management
services
and Marketing Support Services when appropriate
o Communication with external business partners, creation of scorecard analysis and creation and distribution of communications to team
Schedule Management
o Maintaining the daily calendars (accepting meetings; scheduling meetings; allowing for travel time/preparation)
o Arranging travel, with an understanding of client needs and preferences
o Meeting planning of various types; face-to-face, tele-conferences, video-conferences, web-conferences, interview schedules and on boarding process meetings
o Occasional travel if requested by
manager
of business unit
Office Management
o Faxing, scanning, photocopying documents
o Sorting, distributing incoming mail, and sending outgoing mail
o Ensuring ample levels of office supplies are maintained in stock (as a group)
o Employees Expense Reporting System (EERS)

Qualifications/Requirements
o Minimum of three years administrative experience working in a corporate environment
o Self-Starter, quick thinker, articulate, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction, able to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly
o Demonstrated project management skills to plan and deliver on established tactical and strategic goals
o Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities
o Ability to effectively interact and communicate with senior level management and corporate contacts
o Experience at an advanced level using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications as well as use of the internet and web applications; basic level of Excel application to create charts, diagrams and tables of data
Desired Characteristics
o Bachelor's degree or at least five years experience in a corporate or professional business environment
o Familiarity and working knowledge of relational databases and knowledge of the Elanco Animal Health Intranet and other relevant applications desirable
o Extremely well organized, with attention to detail, yet able to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities
o Knowledge of complexities of international travel

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
