Responsibilities The individual in this position will develop and execute the commercial strategy for Elanco's Global Beef Cattle. This person will be responsible for the creation and development of the marketing platform including the capabilities required globally to execute the platform. This person will work with the marketing network (EKS, Global Food Industry Team, Strategic Accounts, and Regional Marketing) to drive global extensive cattle, parasiticides and sheep portfolio/platform. This person will consult with Elanco R&D and to prioritize beef development projects. This person will execute the global Marketing process for beef and extensive cattle, parasiticides and sheep.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
Develop forward-looking species value strategies
Integrate species-relevant customer insights into a value strategy in line with corporate strategy
Build global category solutions
Work w/ Value & Pricing to shape pricing approach and NPP (New Product Planning) to incorporate customer insights.
Develop and deploy brand strategies
Define species and brand portfolio strategy, positioning, messaging and resourcing for top opportunities (growth, defence, channels, geos)
Build and maintain brand equity for beef & extensive Elanco brands including Rumensin, Optaflexx, Component, Micotil, Acatak, Clik, etc.
Segment & target customers, decision-makers and consumers based on insights
Develop insights and customer journeys that funnel the brand plan process
Partner with Affiliates Marketing to execute the beef strategy plan
Partner with Affiliates and B2B to land customer programs
Lead the development and deployment of the Antibiotic Strategy linked to beef brands
Coordinate and implement, along with corporate affairs and market access, the strategy to protect and grow monensin and antimicrobial use
Communicate strategies & track implementation
Define measurement plans monitoring local exec.
Tailor communication of the strategies for specific audiences to get the organization mobilized
Align output of marketing planning processes with the sales organization
Lead and develop a strong highly engaged team
Partner with direct report to develop and execute development plans
Provide timeline coaching to maximize performance
Demonstrate ability to influence 360 degree
34176BR Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
10 years of marketing experience including experience with technical/life science products and new product launch.

Additional Skills/Preferences
Additional 5 years of Global marketing experience in (brand)
Technical or sales experience in feedyard and extensive cattle, parasiticides
Strategic/Industry Knowledge, specifically in the Beef Industry
Understands trends in the Animal Health industry related to ruminant and cattle brnds
Knowledgeable of sales/marketing strategies
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the food industry business and market dynamics (retail, restaurant, food service) in meat markets
Aware of innovations, new approaches among Industry competitors across globe.
MBA or Marketing Degree
Additional Information
Approximately 35-50% international travel
